Landing Craft on DDay

June 2024 | D-Day Expedition

The 6th June 2024 is the 80th anniversary of D-Day. To mark this occasion, a team of veterans will land on Juno Beach, return sand taken from the beach in 1944, and take part in a 4 day, 125km hike visiting all of the Normandy Landing sites. The route will take in Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword beaches, as well as important monuments and memorials of the campaign. Find out more.

August 2023 | Blue Light Hike: Lakes to London

Stuart Cowan (CEO of the British Transport Police Federation) and Gary Thwaite (CEO of the Civil Nuclear Police Federation, completed a 550km hike from the Lake District to London in support of PTSD 999..

May 2023 | Fleur East: Snowdon Challenge

Fleur East took on her very own Presenter Challenge to raise vital funds for Cash for Kids. In challenging conditions, it took grit and determination to reach the summit alongside key supporters of the charity.

December 2022 | Walking Home for Christmas: London to Manchester

Andy Schofield, an injured veteran who had served in Afghanistan, took on a challenge of a lifetime as he hiking from London to Manchester in just 5 days.

September 2022 | Freddie Flintoff: Field of Dreams

Challenge The Wild (Expeditions) provided technical and safety support to the production team for the filming of Freddie's Field of Dreams in the Forest of Bowland.

June 2022 | Jubilee Beacons: Snowdon, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, Slieve Donard

To mark the occasion of the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Challenge The Wild (Expeditions) was tasked with the responsibility of taking up and lighting the Beacons at the highest summit of each country in the UK.

October 2021 | Walking With The Wounded: The Walk of Oman (Reimagined)

As a result of an enforced change to the original expedition due to Covid, a team from Walking With The Wounded hiked from Pen-y-Fan in Wales to the Omani Society in London. A total distance of 350km in just 7 days.

October 2019 | Classic FM: London World Record Piano Pull

Tim Lithoreau (Classic FM Presenter) took on a very different challenge as he pulled a piano across London to raise vital funds for Make Some Noise. Tim raised over £100,000 and achieved a World Record in the process.

September 2019| Fire and Ice Trek: Iceland

Challenge The Wild (Expeditions) organised and led a charity team on a 5 day hike through Iceland.

October 2018 | Heart Radio: Coast to Coast by Wheel and Water

Emma Lenney took to her bike and jumped in a canoe, as she travelled across the country on Heart Yorkshire's Big Challenge.

September 2018 | Jamie's Long Walk to London

Jamie Theakston completed his 7 marathons in 7 days challenge raising over £250,000 for Make Some Noise. he hiked just over 26 miles per day from Cardiff to London, visiting charity beneficiaries on route.

September 2018 | Heart Radio: Strive to the Summits

Presenters and staff from Heart (West Midlands) completed their National 3 Peaks challenge alongside Make Some Noise beneficiaries and supporters.

April 2018 | Capital Radio: Pitch to Pitch Challenge

Pete Allison (Presenter) ran from Stadium to Stadium across Yorkshire and Humber to raise vital funds for Young Adult Carers. His route took in the grounds of Hull City FC, Rotherham FC, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town, Bradford City and Leeds United.

September 2017 | Capital Radio: The Triple Marathon Challenge

Claire Chambers took on an ambitious running challenge, as she completed 3 marathons in just 3 days; in Leicester, Derby and Nottingham.

May 2016 | Cancer Research: The Alps - 5 Peaks, 5 Countries, 5 Days

Challenge The Wild (Expeditions) designed, planned and delivered this very unique challenge in support of Cancer Research. Over 5 days, the team summited Peaks in France, Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria.

September 2014 | Mont Blanc Summit Climb

Challenge The Wild (Expeditions) provide event management as a team from Communicorp (UK) took part in a Swiss Training Camp, before summiting Mont Blanc, the highest Peak in Europe.
